Croissant BLT with Sautéed Chicken

The French croissant is combined with the American BLT toppings making this sandwich perfect to enjoy for dinner or lunch.

Ingredients

2 croissants, butter or whole wheat
1 tbsp olive oil
2-4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 tsp mayonnaise
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp honey
2 slices bacon, cooked
2 leaves lettuce
4 slices tomato(es)
4 slices old cheddar cheese
salt, to taste
pepper, freshly ground, to taste

Steps

  1. In a frying pan, sauté whole chicken thighs in olive oil over high heat for about 10 minutes.

  2. In a bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and honey.

  3. Spread both sides of the croissant with the mayonnaise sauce and fill with the sautéed chicken (cut into thin slices), bacon, tomato, cheese and lettuce.

  4. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve with raw vegetables and a homemade dip.
